Fesler JH science students treat eggs like astronauts
Students at Fesler created "re-entry" pods to try to protect their raw egg astronauts as they were dropped from the ladder of a Santa Maria Fire Department aerial fire engine. The students worked on teams to use a paper cup, a plastic bottle, string, plastic bag material, straws, tape, glue and paper to build a device to keep a raw egg from cracking or breaking when dropped. The project tested the students' skills and knowledge in science, math, engineering and art.
